The weekend of June 12th and 13th saw around 250 bikers on over 150 bikes enjoying the French roads. We are pleased to report that everyone arrived safely at their destination, despite an unplanned excursion into a field thanks to a sat nav!
The aim of the trip, as well as everyone having a good time, was to raise funds for Aspire, a charity which provides support for people with spinal cord injuries.
For a number of the riders it was their first time on French roads and they all enjoyed the experience. During their stay the riders visited the V2 museum at Le Couple and also enjoyed a sociable evening in Le Torquet on Saturday.
On Sunday morning before starting their ride home an awards ceremony and raffle took place. The awards were mainly for fun and the raffle of course was aimed at raising funds for Aspire. A heated vest, which had been donated by Pidcock Motorcycles for the raffle, was won by Dave, who was driving the support vehicle, which was loaded with event t-shirts, which were sold to raise money for the charity. He was really pleased with his win and was more than happy to pose for a photograph wearing his prize.
The GB riders are already planning another ride to Beaulieu in September and they enjoyed this year's D Day Ride out so much, they are already planning another one for next year.
Pidcock were happy to support the ride out, were pleased that all riders arrived back safely, despite their sat navs, and look forward to being involved in some way again next year.
