Last chance to own the phenomenal BMW HP2 Sport
Only 20 of the stunning boxer twin sports bike left in the UK
Prospective owners of the exclusive, exotic BMW HP2 Sport motorcycle, the sportiest and most powerful Boxer motorcycle ever built, should act quickly to secure one of the few remaining in stock in the UK.
Launched in 2008, the ground-breaking HP2 Sport was the first production motorcycle ever to have a double overhead cam Boxer engine, a quickshifter for seamless gear changes and a self-supporting carbon fibre seat unit.
The High Performance title is well earned, as the HP2 Sport produces 133bhp and weighs just 199kg fully fuelled. This feat is achieved by combining carbon fibre and Kevlar bodywork with a lightweight chassis and truly innovative design with the first DOHC Boxer engine. The HP2 Sport was also the first sportsbike offered with optional factory-fitted sports ABS.
Further pioneering design elements included a MotoGP-style dashboard with lap timer, forged aluminium wheels, Brembo brakes with radially mounted calipers and specially developed Öhlins front and rear suspension units, making the bike truly track and race ready from the crate.
In the year before it went on sale, the HP2 Sport took a class victory in the prestigious, grueling Le Mans 24Hr endurance race in 2007.
Ian Furse, Sales Manager for BMW Motorrad UK, said: “The HP2 Sport is a truly stunning machine, which has captured the attention of motorcyclists worldwide. With a number of world firsts including sports ABS, a quickshifter on a road motorcycle and a double overhead cam Boxer engine, the HP2 Sport is sure to become a future classic.
“Many of the innovative features on the HP2 Sport have found their way into the BMW Motorrad range, ensuring that its legacy will live on. But for motorcyclists wanting to experience it for themselves, this is the last chance to own the phenomenal HP2 Sport.”
The HP2 Sport is the third in a series of stunning High Performance machines produced by BMW Motorrad which started with the lightweight off-road HP2 Enduro, produced from 2005 to 2008. This was followed by the groundbreaking HP2 Megamoto, available from 2007-2009.
