BMW Carbon Neck Brace System

A revolution in protective clothing. The BMW Motorrad Neck Brace System significantly reduces the risk of injuries to the cervical vertebrae, yet at the same time is surprisingly light, and still offers riders considerable freedom of movement. It can be worn over a jacket or shirt and is very easy to put on.

The Neck Brace System stops dangerous movement of the neck in a controlled way, both in sports riding and on the road. The energy ofan impact is effectively dissipated away from the neck to the upper body.

The likelihood of whiplash injuries caused by bending of the neck beyond its normal range of motion to the front (hyperflexion), back (hyperextension) or side (lateral hyperflexion) is significantly reduced.

The risk of injuries resulting from downward pressure on the neck due to an impact on the helmet (axial compression) or the head being forced backwards (posterior hypertranslation) is also minimised.
